Genuine paddock to bottle — this current release of Corn & Sorghum Whiskey is a unique mash of grains grown right here on our family farm, just behind the Hoochery Distillery. For years we’ve been growing seeds for our customers, all the while thinking, one day it’d be great to make something out of these grains for ourselves. Well, the day has come, and we’ve not only made something, but something quite special that we’ve never even seen before either.

An ancient grain, sorghum is naturally gluten-free, a highly sustainable crop, and something civilizations have been fermenting into many different kinds of liquor for centuries now. Whilst it might seem like the new kid on the block in the distilling world, it’s actually been around a lot longer than we typically give it credit for, just rarely as a whiskey, and certainly never as a whiskey made in Australia before. Corn by contrast, is an old favorite in distilling, and often used in the production of delicious American style bourbon whiskey.

With each spirit separately barrel-aged, then uniquely blended together, the resulting Corn & Sorghum Whiskey is something a little old world, meets something a little new world. The sorghum brings rich, nutty chocolate flavours while the corn adds soft, fresh fruit notes creating a unique modern aged whiskey expressive of our provenance.

The third Limited WHISKEY Release, we only have 522 bottles of this whiskey available. Once they’re gone, then they’re gone forever.
